I saw the death of nature

I saw the death of nature

Flashing in the sky.

Then a bird dropped down before me,

It gave no song or cry.

It’s feathers floated roundabout,

Like devils in the wind-

The robot machines seemed to shout-

“Apocalypse, begin!”

I used to wander through the country

In a rapture, in a daze,

In nature’s glory filled with beauty,

The joy would rush in waves,

A smile was stretched out on my face

As I sauntered through the hills.

I felt connected, and at peace,

And time itself stood still.

But there’s a screaming in the ocean now.

And that flashing in the sky.

There are bodies built up on the beach.

And this bird that will not fly.

I see the death of nature.

I can feel the death of us.

I hear the death of poetry

Coming to all of us.

Our land used to be sacred,

Now it’s turning to a grave.

Concretes, metals blast the earth

And they say “They want it saved.”

I saw the death of nature,

Flashing in the sky.

But the rich keep getting richer,

And the spirit goes to die.

Monster wind turbines on Shetland Isles.

-All the wind farms coming to Scotland.

Solar farms, battery storage and monster pylons are coming too. Scotland will be gone in less than 5 years.

Many nature charities are speaking out against this, but are being ignored.

Big Energy corporations rule over nature -

dead whale I found on a beach

next to many wind turbines.

This is becoming common.
